I deliver a variety of courses that centre around leadership, communication, and personal effectiveness and recognise that everybody has their own preferred way of learning and developing, so wherever possible I aim to tailor my training to the learners I am working with.


Some of the groups I work with prefer a hands-on approach, and for them I create workshop activities, games, challenges and discussions that give them a chance to learn experientially.


Other groups prefer a more demonstrative approach, and I am just as comfortable taking the lead with presentations, sharing the resources I have developed and guiding people through the key principles of the area we are studying together.

My coaching skills are fundamental to my training style, which means that active listening, storytelling, empathy, and shared group experiences lie at the heart of my courses.


Just as I do when I am coaching, in my training I create safe spaces that enable meaningful dialogue and effective teamwork. In an atmosphere of openness and honesty I aim to create trust and encourage creativity within teams, which leads to better working relationships.


Not forgetting humour, which is a vital part of my training! We might be covering some serious ground together but there will always be room for a laugh and a smile. I believe connecting through humour is one of the most powerful ways to build a sense of camaraderie and companionship.


Over the last few years Jeffrey has worked with the Knowle West Media Centre to support the team to learn more about coaching and to become confident coaches - to be able listen, to keep learning and to support others to make the change they want to see, or be.


He is an excellent facilitator, sharing generously his powerful coaching tools, considerable experience and expertise. It is a revelation to see over 30 individuals bring these new skills into our organisation, from supporting the wellbeing, personal and professional growth of each other, to integrating into the creative work we do with communities.


Almost every member of the KWMC team has completed an intensive course and they now drive a total commitment to being an organisation that wants to share its 'coaching mindset' and to grow the opportunities for change and empowerment for all.
